Coal-fired brick ovens and pizza have been with us since the early 1900’s, and Wichitans can now enjoy the famous Grimaldi’s Pizzeria much closer to home.

Grimaldi’s has quite the history and following with pizza lovers of all ages. The first restaurant opened its doors in the DUMBO section of Brooklyn, New York. Wichita became home to Grimaldi’s 45th pizzeria when its newest location opened recently in the former Zoe’s Kitchen building located in the Waterfront Plaza at 13th Street and Webb.

What to Expect at Grimaldi’s

Guests will be greeted with a smile and treated like family, all while hearing smooth music playing in the background, which will transport them to the streets of New York City. Diners will be seated at tables covered in traditional red-and-white checkerboard tablecloths, with handcrafted wine bottle chandeliers overhead and black-and-white photographs of New York adorning the walls. 

An outstanding list of 25 pizza toppings is available, plus gluten-friendly and cauliflower crust options, in addition to their famous traditional crust made with a secret recipe dough. An array of unique appetizers and house-made desserts are also quite popular and each choice is worth sampling time and time again. A full bar service is available every day and includes an extensive list of wine, premium and local craft beers, and handcrafted cocktails. Every Tuesday, guests 21 and up can enjoy half off glasses and bottles of wine or glasses of sangria.

Restaurant hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Takeout and delivery options are also available.
