Applejack Pumpkin Patch, Augusta

This pumpkin patch and event venue is not just for kiddos! This fun and diverse spot is the pet project of owners Scott and Renee Berggren, who loved the idea of creating a place where families could come year round to experience farm life. With its opening in 2006, each new year has brought more and more visitors, and more opportunities to bring fun and life to the Wichita area. With the opening of their 2023 season, Applejack will once more offer all the fall amenities, as well as a petting zoo, zip line, jump pad, animal playground and activities, and so much more. Cox Farm, Wichita

What began as a quaint roadside stand in 1924 has developed into a full-blown yearly market serving the Wichita area with delicious produce and old world charm. When the farm closed in 2017, it sat for nearly two years, waiting for the next owner to bring it to life. Now, Cox Farm is open year-round, offering seasonal produce, Kansas beef and cheese, seasonings, honey, and other goods and specialty items. Come the end of September, they also open up their Fall Festival. With hayrides, a pumpkin patch, a hay maze, bounce houses, and play areas of every kind, there truly is something for everyone at this fun local farm. Marietta Farm, Andover

This family-friendly environment opens September 23. According to their website, the 2023 season includes “everything you can imagine from corn cribs, playgrounds, corn cannons, maze, bounce houses, train rides, and more.” With a variety of photo opportunities, this iconic location is a sure way to grow some extra fun in the harvest season.
